To debug obex-data-server, run it manually (from command line). It will output some useful info. Try to reproduce both bugs you described and post the output of ods to http://bugs.muiline.com (file a bug report on "obex-data-server" project). The first bug is probably caused by your Nokia incorrect behaviour while the second understand I do not (needinfo) :D
Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi, Tadas, The obex-data-server is great, thank you!
In my application, I found two problems with obex-data-server: The ods-session-test.py will dead there without any response if Nokia 5700 simply refuses receiving files from ftp or opp session, neither error message or exception showed up so I could not handle the error. The second problem is that obex-data-server and opp service sometimes could totally disappear, I have to restart the python script to get the opp service back. I have tried hard to find out the reason but without any progrss. This is a problem too hard for me anyway. Can you help me? or you can tell me how to catch the useful information for debugging?
I only know python programming.
Thank you again and hope you a happy 2008.

Hi,

Good job, I made a dbus aware version of obexftp (command line application) but this is much better, as this doesn't require to modify obexftp internals. (I added a custom transport implementation and all that stuff to obexftp to get it to work).

Today is my last day of university, from now on I have one free months, and we have lots of project to end at the company I'm working. I will use your code for sure, I hope I can test it and send you patches and suggestions if I see something could change or improve.

I started an Open Source project for proximity marketing ( http://code.google.com/p/proximitymarketing/ ) and one of my targets was too get a better implementation of obexftp, but with your new stuff I'm sure it will be even better.

Feel free to get in touch with me,

Cheers from Argentina,
Manuel
